The Why ...
“Apart from the range of benefits below and cost covering benefits for your charity, fundraisers who have at least one donation are X9 times more likely to share their page and keep the momentum going! Using a deposit removes the hurdle of asking for that first donation and supercharges both the fundraiser and donors in supporting the cause.”
When?
Charity Places in Public Events
Many charities choose to take a deposit when there is likely high demand for an event. For example, the Irish Life Dublin Marathon. This ensures all participants are committed to your cause and minimises the initial cost for charities in purchasing places.
Your Events
When running your own events, deposits can be an easy way to offset costs and build a committed group of fundraisers. Events like abseils and other activities where there is a large initial investment on the charity, deposits are a key part of the process.
